Willie Buttram
Willie Buttram, of La follette Tennessee, was raised at Clinchmore in the 1950s he lived there until the early 1960s, he moved away a short time before the flood of 1965.
When Willie, heard the bad news of what had happened to his home town he returned the next day to see the damage. This event changed Willie's life in a moment when he saw what had happened to the whole community.
Sense than he has spent many years searching for good photos of the Clinchmore area. Willie, worked hard to gathered a large colletion of pictures of the area so the memories of Clinchmore would not be lost in the passage of time.
This may not be that important to most people, but if you do not understand how difficult it is to locate pictures of that area you could not begin to know the time and effort he has made to do this. Today most of the photos you will find anywhere on the internet came from Willie's, ablum.
Willie, has made many trips and spent hours traveling all over Campbell county and Scot county, and Anderson county, and many other places in search of these historical pictures so they would not be lost over time.
Willie Buttram, deserves a big thank you for all his hard work in finding these pictures.
So, Thank You Willie, from all the people of Clinchmore.
